Which phones work?
iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later and Android 7 or later. Any combination works: two iPhones, two Android phones, or one of each.
Do both phones need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. Vakur works on the same Wi-Fi, on different Wi-Fi networks and on mobile data. At home on the same Wi-Fi the connection is direct and uses no mobile data.
Can I lock the parent phone?
Yes. Sound keeps playing and the alarm keeps working while the phone is locked. Leave Vakur open in the background – do not swipe it away.
What should I do with the baby phone?
Plug it in, place it so the camera sees the bed, and leave Vakur open. The screen dims by itself. Switch on Do Not Disturb so that calls do not interrupt the sound.
The alarm says the connection is lost. What now?
Check that the baby phone is switched on, has power and is online. Vakur keeps trying and reconnects by itself as soon as it can; the alarm stops when the connection is back.
How does payment work?
The parent phone is always free. The baby phone is free for 48 hours; after that you unlock it with one single purchase through your App Store or Google Play account. If you reinstall the app or change phones, choose Settings → Restore purchase.
How do I delete my data?
Choose Settings → Forget device on either phone; this deletes the pairing on our server. There is no account to delete. Anonymous device identifiers that have not been used for 12 months are deleted automatically.
